The development of EMRAX electric motors can be traced back to 2005, when Mr. Roman Sushnik (then company ENSTROJ) conducted the first electric flight in Slovenia and the world. He developed an electric propulsion system for his glider and equipped it with the most suitable electric motor available in the global market at the time. However, this engine has many irregularities that led to an emergency landing. That's why Mr. Su š nik developed his own electric motor, which is lightweight, powerful, ultimately reliable, without vibration and noise. Considering this, he made some prototypes of radial to axial flux motors. The test results indicate that the axial flux motor is the winner of its application, as it has high power and torque at low speeds and light weight. The first axial flux prototype motor, named EMRAX, representing electric Roman axial flux, was manufactured in 2008 Mr. Su š nik installed this motor on his plane and conducted tests. Due to the great interest in the aircraft industry, he began producing these motors. Due to the performance (highest power density) and lower price of EMRAX motors compared to competitors, other industries have also begun to show interest. Mr. Su š nik made some improvements to the EMRAX motor and developed more motor sizes to meet more market demands. ENSTROJ company has changed to EMRAX company, and we now produce the EMRAX motor series, which includes 4 motor sizes (diameter 208228, 268, and 348 millimeters), each motor can manufacture 3 voltages (high/medium/low) and has specific cooling options (air/liquid/combination). Development is an endless story, so we plan to add more motors to the EMRAX motor series and adjust them as much as possible according to global market demand
